The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Jyväskylä, is seeking to hire five to ten (5-10) POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS in Mathematics or Statistics starting on September 1st, 2024, or as agreed for a fixed term of 1–3 years.
We invite prospective candidates to apply for these positions, which will involve research related to one or more research groups of geometric analysis, inverse problems, geometric measure theory and harmonic analysis, nonlinear partial differential equations as well as statistics in ecology. Strong preference will be given to candidates whose research interests overlap and/or complement the main research areas of the department. The Postdoctoral Researchers are expected to focus on scientific research, but also to participate in teaching within their own areas of expertise. The amount of teaching duties is rather small.
